Commission to offer National Registry ALS Examinations
 
The Certification Division of the Commission on Fire Prevention and Control is pleased to announce a new service being provided to the Fire and EMS community. This service will allow National Registry Examination candidates a convenient, in-state venue to take the examination. Our goal is to provide quality service to the Fire and EMS community and to assist the National Registry and state of Connecticut Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services in the examination process of qualified individuals. Our professional team will examine candidates in a standardized non-partisan manner that conforms to those policies and procedures established by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Examination Dates:    Friday August 22, 2008

All applications and fees must be received and paid 21 days prior to the examination.
 
All written examinations are being scheduled through the NREMT and Pearson Vue Testing Centers.  All written examinations are computer based as of January 1, 2007.  Go to the NREMT website: www.nremt.org "Log In, Create an Account" and follow the instructions.
 
 
The following are skill sheets taken directly from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians website.  Please be aware that the National Registry chooses the random skill of the day from:  Spinal Immobilization (seated), Spinal Immobilization (supine) or Bleeding, Wounds and Shock.
